Leak detection, concealed leaks and excess water bills

Plumbers R Us  use the latest precision locating equipment and technology for leak detection. This means we can more easily identify and test for water pipe leaks and locate areas where any water is leaking. Using our leak detection equipment, we can locate the position of leaks even if it’s under concrete. Once we have identified the source of leaks, with your approval we undertake to make repairs or replace the pipe.

Leak Detection

Plumbers R Us  provide an accurate, non-destructive leak detection service for all types of leaks. Specialist leak detection technology and techniques ensure we  locate the water leaks in walls, under floors and under concrete slabs. We have a range of options to ensure we locate and repair the leak. Some of these are:

Acoustic listening device

We use acoustic listening devices to provide positioning of all types of hidden leaks.

Hydrogen Detection

We use a hydrogen gas that is lighter than air and rises through the ground. We are then able to use our gas detector to locate this position. This is a great indication of where the leak is, we can then use out ultrasonic to pinpoint the leak

Thermal Imaging

We have a thermal imaging camera that enables us to find leaks and pipes under walls and floors.

CCTV

We provide a complete video inspection service enabling us to trace and pinpoint defect locations  We provide clients with detailed reports on an email link to you.

Concealed Leaks

Water leaks can be difficult to find and are often in places which are either hard to get to or difficult to trace the source. Leaks can often occur behind walls or under slabs, in sewer pipes or storm water drains. This can be the result of a blocked drain, burst pipe or faulty plumbing fixtures. We call this a concealed leak as it is not obvious from general visual inspection. Often concealed leaks only become apparent when you get a larger than normal water bill!

We have done hundreds of new installations on Electric storage, Gas Instantaneous, Gas storage , Solar and Heat Pumps in the Bega Valley. We can advise the clients of what hot water systems would suit their needs.

We have a great track record of keeping our clients in hot water within 24 hours.  We have temporary hot water units that can be left on site until parts or new systems arrive if necessary.
